Faith Through Grace
Faith's Power
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
— Hebrews 11:1-3;5 (KJV)
Faith should always be the foundation of our relationship with God because it is one of our greatest weapons against any adversities. Through faith we know that we are saved and we are one of God’s children. It’s easy to have faith when everything is working out the way you want it to, but it is especially important to have faith when it seems like things aren’t working out. In times of trouble, our faith can be tested, and this is when we should turn to God to reinforce our faith. Even having faith the size of a mustard seed is enough to carry us through those times as we pray for guidance. This is also why it is so important for us to have a strong relationship with God so we can hear his voice and know when he is speaking to us. If we can’t hear his voice or we don’t recognize it, then we won’t be able to follow his plan for our lives. God can communicate with us in many different ways, whether it be through a sermon we hear, a scripture verse, a song, or even a conversation with a friend. When we hear God’s voice, even if the message might be confusing to us at the time, we should take a leap of faith by trusting in his words. As we continue to grow in our relationship with God, it is important that we strive to walk in faith and seek out his voice.
