Great is Your Mercy

"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. [It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. The LORD [is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD [is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul [that] seeketh him."

— Lamentations 3:21-25 (KJV)

God’s mercies and grace towards us are abundant and everlasting. Even when we make mistakes or we feel undeserving of his love, he still reaches out to us with his mercies. His grace and faithfulness to his believers is what allows us to be confident in our faith to him. We don’t have to worry about God keeping a tally of all of our mistakes since we know that his mercies are new every single morning. We also know that God is faithful, meaning that whatever he has promised to us will be given to us. Our faith in him is what allows our soul to be renewed and hopeful, no matter what challenges may come our way. Each morning as we wake up we should remember that this is due to God’s faithfulness and protection over our lives.
